Class 3

Class 3 is a mixed Year 3 and Year 4 group with 24 children. The class is taught by Mr Sam Watts and teaching assistant Mrs Lesley Connell. Mrs Lane will also be covering for Mr Watts’s PPA on a Thursday afternoon.

The PE days are currently a Monday and a Tuesday. We ask that all children come into school in their PE kit on these days.

The homework set for Class 3 children is as follows:

• Accelerated Reader/Reading for between 30minutes and 1 hour each day. Please find more information below. 
• We also ask that your child spends at least 30minutes a week practising their times tables or their numberbonds. They can do that through Numbots, Times Table Rockstar,  Topmarks.com or other written methods (please see at the bottom of the page for the Around the World practice sheets).
• Spellings are tested each Friday:

It is expected that your child is to read for at least 30minutes to 1 hour per day. Accelerated reader quizzes can be accessed at home. Please click on the link below and then enter in your user name and password. https://ukhosted106.renlearn.co.uk/2234772/default.aspx

If your child has forgotten login details: The username is the 1st letter of your child’s first name and the first 4 letters of their second name. Regarding their password, if they have forgotten that, please do email me so that I can confirm.

Alternatively, there are nearly 500 articles under the ‘Accelerated Reader Articles’ button that your child could choose to read and then take a quiz on.

Note: Once on the Accelerated Reader Articles section, ATOS BL stands for the child’s accelerated reader book level. Please try to ensure that children read articles that are within their school reading levels.

If it ever gets to the stage where E-books or online articles are not enough, please send across an email and we can arrange leaving some physical books for you to collect.
