Term Dates for the new Academic year can be viewed Read more →
At Harrowbarrow our curriculum continually evolves as we review the impact of our work and identify priority areas for improvement. Each term we hold a number of collapsed curriculum days where curriculum leads design learning around key aspects for improvement. On these special days, children from the EYFS to Year 6 all focus on learning in one area but at the expected level for their age. For example, in computing there was a whole school focus on problem solving using algorithms.
On this page we celebrate the learning achieved by the children.
Writing algorithms to help Sphero paint a picture.
Writing algorithms for Sphero to steer a vehicle around a route.
Writing algorithms with loops to help ArtieMax draw 2d shapes.
Writing algorithms for the Cornwall Lego League.
After studying Greek urns, children designed and drew their own.
Making clay coil pots to look like Greek urns.
Rolling out clay and then cutting out tiles.
Making a model to plot the journey of a river from source to sea.
